Services and Support Options
We all need someone to talk to sometimes.
Whether you need to
- Define your goals,
- Improve your relationships,
- Or work through the issues that life throws at you,
A professional ear can provide a way to improve your life through communication, practical support, information and advocacy.
We describe our services and support as a korowai (cloak) that can adapt to the needs of an individual, whānau and community.
Our support and services include counselling (including modalities such as, CBT, Lego & sand tray therapy), financial navigation, social work & advocacy (includes everything from putting in a safety alarm to assisting with protection orders) to literacy support, drug and alcohol individualised programmes, triage for referrals for food parcels, support to sustain your tenancy, space for hui and much much more.
The Waiuku Family Support Network team includes people who are navigators, social workers, counsellors, community support workers, nurse, financial mentors, advocates, and other skilled lay and professionals with diverse backgrounds.
We use many different platforms and particularly through Covid have utilised other ways to support you other than face to face.
Please watch this space as we are developing a new way for whānau to access support!!!
